M = Milestones / Deliverables and signoffs

If you are delivering a project to a customer or if your organization is really focused on deliverable acceptance, then a useful extension for your RAID log is a simple table to track milestone deliverables, their due dates and status.

Personally, I’ve used this to great effect on services engagements where we had to frequently track and report on our progress for scoped deliverables which rolled up into payment milestones. It was very handy to have that list on the RAID log, easy to access with my client and with my own management team who was very interested in progress toward payment milestones. This also made status reporting easy, as I could simply copy and paste that table into my status report
